JOB DESCRIPTION

Context and issues

After a fundraising round at the end of 2023, the launch of the first projects (after studying around sixty) and the creation of the team at the beginning of the year, the Studio now wishes to strengthen its expertise in agriculture, foodtech, and biosourced products, by recruiting 3 Operating Partners, directly reporting to the Founders. 

Missions

As an Operating Partner, you will play a key role in identifying innovations and industry needs, and launching the most promising projects. You will bring your expertise at both the strategic and operational levels to the Entrepreneurs in Residence, and will collaborate with the entire Studio team to address the various challenges of the projects. 

Activities

Your main activities will be as follows: 

Opportunity detection

• Bringing forward the needs of the sector through your actions on the ground 
• Establish and sustain strategic partnerships with stakeholders
• Carry out active and constant monitoring of market innovations 
• Contribute to the sourcing and analysis of startup creation projects 
• Participate in the startup project selection committee

Support for EIRs

• Participate in the project ideation phase: proof of concept, solution, positioning, business model, value proposition, go-to-market strategy
• Co-build the start-up: develop an MVP, co-build the business plan, identify the first users and/or trigger the first sales, set up the team and increase value

Structuring the studio

• Contribute to the overall strategy of AgriLife Studio
• Structuring support for Entrepreneurs in Residence
• Position the studio as a key player in our ecosystems

SEARCH PROFILE

Training 

• Higher cycle in agro or environment (APT, ESA, agro schools)
• Or targeting agricultural professions 
• A double degree (engineering/business) is a plus 

Experience 

• 10+ years of experience, acquired through:
  • in agriculture, or in food, or even in bio-sourced
  • as an entrepreneur, or in project management in a company
• Knowledge of the agricultural and/or agri-food environment
• Bonus: consulting in strategy, funds or VC, or within a start-up studio

• Able to move from strategic to operational level
