At Agrilife Studio, we have been supporting innovators in the agriculture and agribusiness sector since our founding. A closer look at our portfolio reveals one clear trend: our projects primarily revolve around agriculture, while food innovation and food tech remain largely unexplored. Yet, there are numerous opportunities to foster the next food startup capable of addressing the new challenges of nutrition, naturalness, and ingredient performance. To fill this gap, we are launching our first call for projects dedicated to functional ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our recent market research has highlighted real, concrete challenges that are not being adequately addressed by existing players. We are convinced that innovative solutions still need to be developed, and we want to co-create them with the right people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agrilife Studio is a startup studio specializing in agritech and foodtech. Our model: we act as co-founders alongside project leaders, providing both operational support and funding (investments ranging from \u20ac0.5 million to \u20ac1.5 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support from the concept phase through to the launch of the business<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
In practical terms, this means a 6- to 18-month pre-creation co-development phase that draws on our expertise in finance, legal affairs, HR, business, and entrepreneurship, as well as access to our ecosystem of partners (research labs, technology transfer organizations, industrial partners, and many others).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Priority Themes for the Food 2026 Call for Proposals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We are looking for projects that address a major challenge in the food sector that has not yet been adequately addressed. Among the areas we have identified as priorities are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Highly functional ingredients with high added value<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Clean Label: Natural Alternatives to Conventional Colorants, Preservatives, Texturizers, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Highly Nutritious Ingredients: Medicinal Mushrooms, Functional Lipids, and Other Emerging Active Ingredients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
These themes are not exhaustive; they are simply starting points. What matters most is the relevance of the issue addressed and the project\u2019s capacity for innovation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are the eligibility requirements?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We review projects that meet all four of the following criteria: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

- strong added value<\/li>\n\n\n\n
